Maru has completed many feather imping procedures in the past, however, rarely is the damage so extensive that the bird requires over 50 of them to be replaced! This very unfortunate tawny owl suffered severe feather damage, after falling down a chimney on to a log fire. Luckily, with just the embers left, the bird was saved from any burns to the skin and feet. Rescued by East Sussex WRAS, the tawny was transferred to us for veterinary care.
