I am on a mission to find the exact place where I popped out into the world. I am with novelist and actress, Elizabeth Housden, in the old village of Liss in Hampshire. She is taking me on a walk through the older part of the village, not to be confused with the newer, Victorian version that built up around the railway station. We pass the beautiful St Peter's Church, the Spread Eagle pub, where at one time the village stocks were, a hollow oak and then approach the the cottage hospital that som
