Our City's Urban Forestry Program is committed to increasing San Diego's tree canopy cover! So far, more than 800 trees have been planted under the Trees for Communities tree planting project. 🌳 San Diego’s climate action plan calls for tree canopies to cover 35% of the city by 2035. The San Diego Unit recently completed a multiple day prescribed burn of 220 acres in the community of Pine Valley.
