Jan 7, 2025 · This version of Rainbow Road recreates the course's appearance in the Nintendo 3DS game Mario Kart 7. The path you'll take winds its way through the solar system and even includes a brief sprint across the surface of the Moon.

Rainbow Road is the fourth and last track of the Special Cup in Mario Kart 7. This Rainbow Road iteration features many jumps, turns, planets, and it's so long that it's in three sections rather than three laps. It later reappears in the 2019 Holiday Tour for Mario Kart Tour.

Unlike its past appearances, this Rainbow Road takes place in a more realistic space environment, having rockets and planetoids in the background, complete with visible sun from a distance and a part of the track taking place on what appears to be a moon.

Jun 21, 2024 · Rainbow Road is a racing venue found in every game of the Mario Kart series. It is the last track of every Special Cup, Mario Kart 7 and 8 's Lightning Cup and the second track of Mario Kart 8's Triforce Cup.

For the first time in the series, Mario Kart 7 broke the Rainbow Road track into three sections rather than three whole laps. It takes place in outer space, where racers will avoid asteroids, drive on the rings of Saturn, and avoid low-gravity Chain Chomps on the moon.
