Nov 29, 2024 · This is happening to me as well since the ios 18.1.1 update last friday. Sometimes I send a msg and it goes by RCS but mostly its going by sms. My boyfriend's msg are coming to me as rcs but when i reply it sends as sms. Prior to the ios update everything was by RCS both ways with zero issues.

Dec 1, 2024 · I’m using the iPhone 13 Pro Max, currently running 18.1.1. My phone auto updated the other night and now I can only receive RCS messages from Android/Google contacts, but any messages I send will automatically switch to SMS. I’ve checked my settings and with my carrier and both support RCS and are turned on.

Jan 9, 2021 · There is a known alert for customers with iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro, or iPhone 12 Pro Max that may be unable to consistently send SMS/MMS to users with non-iOS devices. This is currently under investigation. Note: Apple does not appear to be aware of this issue based on support session with them before calling Verizon.

Responses from those people are received as an individual message and not in the group. Currently new messages are send as SMS (green) not iMessage any more. @Cyrus_197: Not really!

Some conversations are more than a year old, but it consistently changes them to show that they arrived at 03:00 and then sorts them by name.

You can do iPhone SMS backup in this way: open iTunes and connect your iPhone to the computer. Select "Backup" to "This computer" or "iCloud" as you like and all your iPhone will be backed up.

Sep 16, 2024 · I am running iOS 18 on my iPhone 14. RCS is enabled but does not work when messaging my Android phone. I have RCS running on my Android phone and works fine between other Android phones. My iPhone is on the Verizon network while my Android is on T-Mobile. I've tried disabling/enabling RCS on my iPhone a number of times as well as rebooting.

Jul 17, 2021 · My carrier (Verizon) has an app (Messages+, I think) that lets you get SMS messages in a separate app or on your computer. Ask your carrier if they offer something similar. You should also consult with them about the issue of SMS over WiFi as both SMS and WiFi calling are features they control.
