The Viswanathan laboratory is focused on elucidating the mechanistic basis of enteric pathogen interaction(s) with the mammalian intestine. Current research projects are focused on Enteropathogenic and Enterohemorrhagic E. coli, Salmonella enterica and Clostridium difficile.
