Aug 25, 2021 · T15g Gen 2 will definitely have less fan noise to accomplish that as the CPU cooling is far superior to the X1E out of the box. I don't forsee issues doing that. I haven't used the system for work quite yet though so I can't be 100% certain how good the fan noise will be building large java projects yet.

Mar 2, 2022 · I've been using this T15g for about a year now and have experienced varying levels of over heating and thermal throttling, some worse than others, but always in a way that has made it impossible to get the level of performance that I payed for. I understand that laptops are going to run hot, but this level of thermal throttling is unacceptable.

Feb 2, 2021 · The T15g runs the flight simulator perfectly and looks like a thinkpad. I did not want to get some blinking Acer to run the simulator. The 230 watt thinkpads also are not compatible with lenovo docks at the moment, the maximum lenovo sells now is 170 watt docks.

I almost backed down from the purchase, but then I read that most of the problems are fixed with the new bios and vbios versions. I now have my T15g since two days.
