Richard Foster is a member of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters, President 2017-2022, and former Vice President and Hon. Treasurer. He is also a member of the Art Workers Guild. He has had numerous exhibitions in London including five at Spink and Son, as well as Rafael Vals, Partridge Fine Arts and Indar Pasricha.

Richard Foster was brought up at East Lexham, Norfolk and he aways thought that something ought to be painted for the blocked up window in the church. He first measured it in 1972, then thought about it in the Eighties, and finally got started in 2005. It was finished and hung in 2013.
