I'm well aware of the challenges that the Cell architecture poses when it comes to emulation. That being said, if MS was able to emulate x360 games on xb1, you'd assume it's possible to get ps3 on ps5. Yes, the Cell is a bit different than Xenon, but both situations are PowerPC to x86. And obviously, the PS5 is way more powerful than XB1.

title. the mgs series has been one i’ve been wanting to play for a really long time, and i recently got a ps5 which is the first playstation i’ve owned of any generation. i know the chances are probably low since afaik other than 5 they’re only on the ps3 and before but i thought there might just be a chance someone here knowing a way to do so. thanks

Something akin to the Master Chief Collection for Metal Gear on modern platforms would be a gold mine. Hell I’d pay $100 or so for that to have all the games bundled together like that and some upgrades visuals, but they also still hold up really well so I’d pay a solid $60 for the Nintendo treatment of just tossing them all as is on a disk.

Feb 22, 2024 · It'd be cool if they could work it like how they worked the line about finding Meryl's CODEC frequency in MGS1 (since there's no physical CD case with the Master Collection, the game includes a 3D model of it as a bonus so the line can be kept in and you can still look on the back to find the frequency).

Oct 23, 2023 · 23 votes, 19 comments. Just downloaded the 1.200.001 version for MGS2 ps5. On ps5 all games got a patch. On ps4 just MGS3 and bonus content for now

Jan 9, 2024 · Also, what even more disappointing, is the original games with Achievement support (Metal Gear, MG 2 Solid Snake) didn’t receive any of the screen enhancements. No option to force 16:9, pixel perfect, CRT filters, smoothing removal, any of that.
