Sep 15, 2024 · MX Linux GNOME Remix is a new respin of MX Linux 23.3, an unofficial respin using systemd. It replaces the XFCE desktop with the GNOME desktop. It provides a macOS-like look and feel with an emphasis on simplicity and HiDPI display compatibility. The desktop background was created by myself using a non-licensed HiDPI image.

Jul 12, 2023 · MX Linux should have a script that switches computers to powersave or performance mode. There are several distributions that have a graphical window for choosing the performance of a computer. I think it would be really good to have this kind of tool for MX Linux.

Aug 19, 2023 · The basic package management program for MX Linux is dpkg, which can install, upgrade, and remove packages using .DEB files. People mostly avoid using dpkg these days and use "apt-get" or "nala", which are programs that can remotely obtain, install, upgrade, and remove packages without as much manual effort as using dpkg.
