Ios11.0.1 “Cannot save file” error saving from Office apps to Dropbox
I am having the same problem when saving from Word of iOS. The problem first appeared after the ios11.0.1 update. It appears to be specific to dropbox, because I can save the same file to OneDrive using the same filename.
Save to Dropbox not possible in iOS Shortcuts
When using the file save dialog in iOS Shortcuts (formerly ,Workflows') the Dropbox target option is greyed out. Any idea how to fix that? It did work for me some time ago, but stopped for seemingly no reason. Additional info: Dropbox iOS app is installed and user logged in. Dropbox is enabled as a file location in iOS Files app.

A separate copy of the file with only your edits, then yes, you'll have to download and re-upload it to the shared folder. Only one file with everyone's edits, those should be automatically applied, so you shouldn't have to download and re-upload the file. Let me know what you find or if you have any other questions!

If you select the sync online option only you save the local hard drive space. This may depend upon your account. Not sure if it works on the free version. It is confusing to set this. I'm on a Mac and can only do it if I'm running the app locally. Right click on a file or folder and hover over the sync to show this option.
