What to Bring While Camping at a Florida State Park
When planning a camping trip to a Florida State Park, it is important to pack the right gear to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience including something to sleep in, food to eat, and don’t forget a first aid kit!
Eight state parks provide boat camping. Some ofer water, electricity, showers, pump-outs and other amenities. Boaters can also anchor overnight at Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park and John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park.

Tram service is available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to carry gear and campers to the campground. Before 10 a.m. and after 4 p.m., campers are responsible for toting their gear in and out. Access to cabins and/or Bayside camping is restricted to vehicles with a height clearance of less than 6 feet 8 inches. This applies to all visitors staying in Cabin sites and sites 73-80 at the Park. The park gates close at sunset. If you plan to arrive late please, contact the park prior to 5 p.m. on the day of your arrival.
