Aug 19, 2016 · A room where once the door closes the floor slopes to a 30-degree angle. Moving around the room will tilt it in the direction of the weightiest side. Once the room is balanced, the doors can finally be opened again. A room where the players experience synesthesia (swapped senses) and so they speak in colors, and hear physical sensations.

Feb 28, 2023 · It's going to be a binding of isaac-style dungeon, where each room is it's own completely independent challenge. It's a huge dungeon, about 8x8 rooms, for a total of 64 rooms. Besides all the obvious things like a cool d&d table with a big monitor in the middle for maps, comfy furniture etc. I always thought it would be cool to have cleared white walls with nothing on them on all sides, having the table in the middle of the room (the door leading out of the room would also be painted white so it melds into the wall).

Jun 29, 2018 · In the center of the room, what appears to be the hilt of a dagger, possibly made of the same stone as the floor, sticks up as if the blade has been sunk into the floor. No trap, no treasure, no secret. It's a work by an artist with no other significance. The party I put it in for did come up with some lovely trap ideas, though.

Feb 19, 2024 · Take a page out of Tomb of Horrors: A hallway that triggers sleeping gas that knocks the players out for 1d4 × 10 minutes. Beyond the hallway is a small room with some levers that do absolutely nothing. After 10 minutes of triggering the gas, a steamroller flattens all the creatures in the room and hallway, killing them instantly.

Nov 7, 2014 · You can add in some shaking walls and rattling spikes to you description if you want to build tension. When the players press the button, the timer resets. When the timer counts down to 0, the doors open and the players are able to leave the room. This room works best in the middle or latter portion of a dungeon.
