Cooper Park is an urban park in Brooklyn, New York City, between Maspeth Avenue, Sharon Street, Olive Street, and Morgan Avenue in East Williamsburg. It was established in 1895 and covers 6.40 acres (2.59 ha).

Cooper Park is Lincoln’s oldest public park. While many improvements: have been made to the park during its 150 year history, several of its current amenities are in need of repair/replacement/renewal.

Philanthropist, industrialist and inventor--Peter Cooper (1791-1883) was a native New Yorker and workingman’s son with less than a year of formal schooling, who became one of the most successful American businessmen of his day.

Located in the Roseland community area, Cooper Park totals 4.56 acres and features a multi-purpose clubroom. A green feature of the park includes a Harvest Garden. Outside, the park offers multi-purpose fields and a playground.

In 1938, construction carried out by the Works Progress Administration transformed Cooper Park. New features included a roller-skating track, a sitting area, horseshoe and shuffleboard courts, and play areas for children and tots.
