I suppose that you know how to find the atomic electron configuration for Br which is $\mathrm{1s^22s^22p^63s^23p^64s^23d^{10}4p^5}$. Now for ions, it is really simple. All you have to do is look at if the ion is a cation or an anion. If it is an anion then add the same amount of electrons as the number of the charge.
