Three-phase circuit breaker size calculation help
Jul 5, 2011 · Hi, i'm a little confused about the way to calculate the amp of the circuit breaker for a three-phase system. If i have a power of 11.5 kW and voltage of 400V, what size circuit breaker is needed for three-phase system. My calculation was 11500/(1.732x400) = 16.6 Amps per phase ... 16.6 x 3 = 49.8 Amps, so i need a 50 Amp breaker.

Recording of 3-Phase Circuits - Electricians Forums
Aug 20, 2019 · So, I was filling out a test sheet for a number of 3-phase circuits we did an EICR on. For years whenever a 3-phase circuit exists I have recorded them on a single line (eg. 1/TP or 1/L123) and recorded the highest or lowest value applicable to that particular test regardless of phase. Something the NIC has never taken issue with.
