If you have a device with a touchscreen, the touch keyboard lets you input text by tapping a keyboard that appears on your screen with your pen or fingertip. Use it with the default layout or try one of the other available options.

Go to Start , then select Settings > Ease of Access > Keyboard, and turn on the toggle under Use the On-Screen Keyboard. A keyboard that can be used to move around the screen and enter text will appear on the screen.

If your touchpad isn’t working, it may be a result of a missing or out-of-date driver. Updating or reinstalling your touchpad drivers in Device Manager may help solve the problem.

Under Human Interface Devices, right-click on HID-compliant touch screen and select either Enable device or Disable device depending on which action is desired. If there are multiple HID-compliant touch screen devices listed, repeat the steps for each device.

Use the on-screen touchpad to control the mouse pointer with your touchscreen. Press and hold (or right-click) the taskbar, and then select Taskbar settings. Under Taskbar corner icons, set Virtual touchpad to On. Select the touchpad button on the taskbar.

Touch gestures. You can use these gestures on the touch screen of your Windows 11 device. To turn touch gestures on, select Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Touch > Three- and four-finger touch gestures, and make sure it's turned on.
