Apr 18, 2021 · I just copied the rom file "Sonic_Knuckles_wSonic3.bin" from browsing local files of the steam install of SEGA Mega Drive & Genesis Classics into the same directory as the Sonic 3 A.I.R. executable, and it continued to work for me even after uninstalling SEGA Mega Drive & Genesis Classics from steam.

Jun 5, 2022 · It doesn’t need the Steam version, it needs the Sonic 3 and Knuckles ROM file which comes with the Steam version. You can find this ROM online. I can’t say where without violating this sub’s rules, but let’s just say that it’s really not that difficult.

Jul 16, 2021 · I have Sonic 3 AIR on mac and most people online say that the game asks for a rom location when you first open it, so you choose a rom and it loads. But for me, it just says: " ROM could not be loaded! An original Sonic 3 & Knuckles ROM must be added manually. See the Manual for details. The application will now close."

May 1, 2023 · Rom hacks for sonic 3 existed (Sonic 3 Complete), but these were still restricted to the hardware capabilities of the genesis. This makes remastering the visuals, improving the frame rate in special zones, and other bug fixes possible (which is what AIR does to the rom)

I tried starting up Sonic 3 AIR earlier and I'm greeted with a message saying I need to relocate the Sonic 3 & Knuckles folder from Steam for some reason. Okay, no problem. Not sure why it needs to locate it again, it's not as if I'd moved anything around or updated anything. I didn't. It was all working fine before.

I'd like to play Sonic 3 AIR. Problem is, when I try to run the program, it asks for a ROM of Sonic 3 & Knuckles. I've searched online for a rom that will satisfy the program, but none of the ROMs work. Would some please put a working ROM for Sonic 3 AIR? Thank you :>
