Quick Performance 9-inch Rearend - reviews? - Chevy Tri Five Forum
Jan 20, 2019 · Ordered complete 9" rear from Quick Performance about 10 days ago. I had them hold shipment until I got back from a trip. Just received Axels, third member 3:40 with track loc, drilled and slotted rotors, calipers etc. Housing is coming next week. Everything looks great! Can't wait to get it all in the 55. Really great people to deal with!

Nov 7, 2019 · I used that 9" rear-end from Quick Performance in my 57. The only thing that I didn't get from them were the brakes as I already had a set. I was very happy with quality. It bolted in exactly as it should. I love having a bullet proof 9" in my 57 and the price and quality from Quick Performance is exactly what I wanted.

Nov 17, 2015 · The universal brake kit needs to be cut off the rear as I mistakenly welded it in place without realizing that it allows the GM calipers to mount too far out from the discs which ends up using only about 50% of the pad surface. So much for water-jet cut brake mounting pieces as you have to modify them yourself to get them fitted correctly.

I called them and went thru the rear end build with them and went with what was recommended. Motive and true-trac. I spent some time reading about 9" gear noise and found a Hemmings article.

Mar 22, 2009 · The most important "insurance measure" you can take with your high performance 1960-1964 Chevy / Pontiac ( especially 4 speed cars ) is the addition of a 2nd ( left side ) upper control arm on the rear end housing. Unavoidably neccessary if the car achieves any amount of traction, this assembly will help prevent a bent axle housing.
