The Pergamonmuseum houses three collections: the Antikensammlung, Vorderasiatisches Museum and the Museum für Islamische Kunst.

They originate from the city of Uruk, as do the impressive temple façades decorated with thousands of colourful mosaic pieces. Since the opening of the new entrance building, the museum display begins with the large basalt sculptures from Tell Halaf.

The collection contains sculpture from the archaic to Hellenistic ages as well as artwork from Greek and Roman antiquity: architecture, sculptures, inscriptions, mosaics, bronzes, jewelry and pottery.

Aug 26, 2022 · The mosaic is beautifully preserved and presented in the building Z on the Acropolis hill of the Archeological Museum Bergama . It was a joy coming back after all this time. The gallery below is a mix from my recent photos and the photos of 2007.
