Jan 4, 2025 · The Western Spur of the New Jersey Turnpike is also signed as I-95 but is officially known as Route 95W. This road has interchanges serving I-280 in Kearny and Route 3 in East Rutherford, Bergen County, the latter connecting to Route 120 and CR 503, serving the Meadowlands Sports Complex.

I-95 is a main interstate that runs along the east coast from Florida to Maine. In New Jersey, it follows the New Jersey Turnpike, which is the state's main toll highway. The New Jersey section of I-95 begins at the Delaware River Bridge, which as its name suggests crosses the Delaware River at the eastern end of the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

NJ 700 was the original designation for all parts of the mainline Turnpike that weren't I-95. The newer Westerly Alignment of the Turnpike is signed to the George Washington Bridge and is officially I-95 according to the FHWA, but it's actually NJ 95W internally.
