Jul 18, 2017 · As we said when we graduated, we’d been seeing incredible developments with Glass in the workplace. Now the Glass product team is back at X, and we’ll be collaborating with the Google Cloud team and our partners to help customers across a variety of business sectors make the most of Glass.

The first batch of X projects begins, including wearable computer, Google Glass, and Google Brain, a team breaking new ground in artificial intelligence. Other teams tackle indoor maps (Insight) and improving photography on mobile devices (GCam) .

In January 2023, Mineral graduated from the rapid prototyping environment of X. Today Mineral is an independent Alphabet company working to unlock a more sustainable, climate-resilient, and productive food system.

The Everyday Robot project built robots to learn from human demonstration, the experiences of other robots, and from simulation in the Cloud. They also collaborated with Google AI to explore new ways of unlocking these challenges.

An early focus at X was developing smaller, smarter, non-invasive devices that could make the monitoring and measurement of biomarkers and other health signals much easier.

Jul 23, 2016 · That’s why Tango, Insight, GCam, Watch, Glass, and Google Brain, among others, graduated to Google. We celebrate these graduations with mortarboards and diplomas, and then put X’s resources back to work on other moonshot ideas.
