Kirby Paul Smart[2] (born December 23, 1975) is an American football coach and former player. He is the current head football coach at the University of Georgia, his alma mater. As head coach, he led the Bulldogs to back-to-back national championships in 2021 and 2022.

Georgia captured its second consecutive CFP national championship and second SEC title of the Smart era in dominant fashion. The Bulldogs went 12-0 in the regular season and soundly defeated LSU in the SEC title game, earning a No. 1 seed in the final CFP rankings.
