Scott Moser joined the Rensselaer staff in July of 2019 after spending the five seasons as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Canisius College. In his first season, the Tonawanda, N.Y., native helped the Engineers to one of their best seasons as they went 17-15-2, including four straight victories to conclude the regular season.

Outside of collegiate hockey, Moser has coached at the USA Hockey National Camps since 2014. As a two-sport Division I athlete, Moser was captain of the Canisius men's hockey team during the 2011-12 campaign and appeared in 134 career games for the Golden Griffins.

May 19, 2014 · Canisius announced Monday that Trevor Large, a veteran assistant coach in Atlantic Hockey for eight seasons, and Scott Moser, a former forward with the program, have been named assistant coaches. Large and Moser replace B.J. Adams and John Daigneau, who were dismissed in March.
