A Powerball player in Texas won $50,000, just missing the $90 million jackpot, lottery officials say. The ticket matched four winning numbers and Powerball in the drawing Monday, June 16, the Texas Lottery said.

Three Texans recently struck it rich, bringing the total prize money awarded in the Lone Star State over the past two weeks to $7 million, according to the Texas Lottery Commission. Each winner has chosen to keep their identity a secret, but all fell into their newfound wealth through purchasing scratch-off tickets.

Based on the Powerball drawing for Wednesday, June 11, 2025, it looks like the folks at the Texas Lottery are going to be needing even more ink cartridges as the Powerball drawing has produced two big money wins in that game and Lotto Texas with Extra! has produced a winner valued at more than $12,000.
