According to a report from Sportico, the Golden State Valkyries are the league’s most valuable franchise with a valuation of $500 million. Their value is nearly double the league’s average and the team is worth $80 million more than the New York Liberty, which have the second-highest valuation.

It's been a solid investment for the owners of the Golden State Warriors of the NBA, who agreed in October 2023 to pay a $50 million expansion fee to own the WNBA franchise.
