The Bank of England Monetary Policy Committee held interest rates unchanged at several of its meetings since last year’s general election.

Belfast leisure workers are set to stage a 24-hour strike over pay. In a joint statement, the trade unions Unite and Nipsa said Belfast leisure workers are the lowest paid in Northern Ireland.
