President Donald Trump was set to meet European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen as the European Union races to set terms of a trade deal before the Aug. 1 deadline. The meeting is the only official business on the president's schedule for Sunday amid rounds of golf. He is visiting his resort properties in Scotland this weekend.

The pact would set duties of 15 percent on imports of items such as wine and automobiles, or about half the 30 percent the president had recently threatened.
