Ryder Cup Weather Forecast: Rain On The Way At Bethpage Black
It's a shame, because the weather in this part of the world over the last few days has been rather nice. On the plus side, a soft course, even one as long as Bethpage Black, should encourage plenty of attacking play - which is just want we want to see at a Ryder Cup.
Bethpage Black was under a weather warning early Sept. 25, receiving about an inch of rain by 9 a.m., including several heavy downpours.
A statement on the Ryder Cup website read: "Due to the forecast of inclement weather on Thursday, September 25, the Ryder Cup Opening Ceremony has been moved to Wednesday, September 24. The Opening Ceremony pre-show will begin at 3 p.m. with the Opening Ceremony set for 4 p.m.
