Former Napoli, Chelsea and Juventus coach Maurizio Sarri is back in charge of Lazio, the Rome club said on Monday. The 66-year-old replaces Marco Baroni, who left Lazio after their disappointing form in the second half of last season saw them fail to qualify for European competition next term.

Maurizio Sarri has returned to Lazio as head coach a year after he resigned from the post, the Serie A club announced on Monday. Details of the deal were not disclosed by the club but Italian news agency Adnkronos reported that the former Chelsea and Juventus manager Sarri has rejoined Lazio on a two-year contract with an option for a third season.
