A spectator attending the Nations League final between Spain and Portugal died after falling from the second tier of the main stand at Munich's Allianz Arena, UEFA confirmed Sunday.  The incident occurred in the first period of extra time during Portugal's 2-2 (5-3) victory over Spain in a penalty shootout.

Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo was in tears as he led his country to their second Nations League title by beating holders Spain 5-3 on penalties following a thrilling 2-2 draw after extra time in Sunday's showpiece match.

It is Portugal's second title in the UEFA Nations League. The Seleção won the title in 2019, beating the Netherlands in Porto in the first-ever edition of the tournament. Portugal, therefore, becomes the first country to win the tournament twice.
