National Puerto Rican Day Parade is today in New York City. The parade marks the 68th installment of the annual celebration through the streets of Manhattan. It is billed as the country's largest showcase of cultural pride.

When we represent Puerto Rico, we represent their heart," said Chris Santiago, 23, of The Bronx, who has been to the event every year since he was a child.

Hundreds of thousands of people turned out for the event, which kicked off Sunday morning with performances, floats, and, of course, a sea of flags. CBS News New York's Zinnia Maldonado was there.
