Tight end Kevin Bauman has suffered another devastating injury as Notre Dame announced the veteran has suffered yet another knee injury. According to Notre Dame, Bauman suffered an articular cartilage injury to his left knee, and that injury will require surgery that ends his sixth season with the program.

Notre Dame has lost some offensive depth during training camp with season-ending knee injuries to tight end Kevin Bauman and running back Kedren Young.

Notre Dame already was without Charles Jagusah, its projected right guard, after he was injured in a utility task vehicle accident in Wyoming last month.
