Dow Jones Futures: Nvidia, Palantir Near Buy Points With Fed Inflation Due; Trump Sets New Tariffs
Fed inflation data is due. Nvidia, Palantir are near buy points. President Trump OK'd new tariffs and a TikTok deal.
Stock futures were little changed ahead of an important U.S. inflation reading Friday, although shares of furniture and home goods retailers pulled back sharply after President Donald Trump unveiled new tariffs.
The three indices in this analysis all look as if they are taking a bit of a break, with the Federal Reserve still in focus. At this point, the Fed is expected to cut rates a couple of times, but recent US economic numbers are causing confusion.

Dow Jones Futures Fall As Astera Labs, Credo, Other Hot Stocks Continue Slide
Indexes fell modestly Wednesday while big winners such as Astera Labs and Credo Technology embraced the fall season.
Dow Jones is moving away from session lows as traders buy the dip. IBM, which is up by 4.5%, is the biggest gainer in the Dow Jones index today. The stock rallied as the company’s quantum systems outperformed tradtional computer methods in algorithmic trading on the European bond market.
U.S. stock indexes rose to begin the week, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average, S&P 500, and Nasdaq all setting record intraday and closing highs for a third straight session.

Stock Market Today: Dow Rises Ahead Of Fed Inflation Data; Apple Slides (Live Coverage)
Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the other major stock indexes traded mixed Friday as Wall Street awaited the Federal Reserve's favored inflation gauge, the core PCE price index. Meanwhile, Apple AAPL was an early loser on the stock market today.
The three major US indices are all pulling back a bit in the early hours of Thursday, as we are going to continue to give back a bit in order to find value. At this point though, we are still in a longer-term uptrend.
