And yet, despite these pressures, My Chemical Romance emerged with a wildly ambitious concept album that surpassed all expectations. On Oct. 23, 2006, The Black Parade finally arrived.

In the end, My Chemical Romance decided they needed to figuratively kill their alter-ego The Black Parade. And it seems that when they buried it in 2008 in Mexico City, the curse was buried, as well.
