US President Donald Trump said he would impose a new deadline of 10-12 days for Russian leader Vladimir Putin to reach a truce with Ukraine, ramping up pressures on Moscow to bring the fighting to a halt.

"I'm going to reduce that 50 days that I gave him to a lesser number," Trump said as he met British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
