Dozens of names to be the next coach for New York have been thrown out across social media ever since the Knicks fired Tom Thibodeau. Recently, two new names, that haven't had much traction, have gained some steam through reports.

Tom Thibodeau joined former Sacramento Kings coach Mike Brown on a dubious list Tuesday when he was fired after five seasons as head coach of the New York Knicks. Every NBA Coach of the Year from 2018-23 has been fired.

Current NBA coaches Ime Udoka and Jason Kidd have been names floating around, though Houston isn't interested in giving the Knicks permission to interview Udoka. As far as Kidd goes, it's unclear where the Mavericks stand in giving New York permission,
