The family of Josselin Corea Escalante, the 16-year-old killed in the Jan. 22 Antioch High School shooting, is suing Metro Nashville Public Schools and Metro Government.

More than a quarter of all Metro Nashville schools saw arrests for making criminal threats in the 2024/25 school year.

Police identified her as Josselin Corea Escalante. Drake said police are looking into a motive and whether he targeted the specific students he shot.
