New athletic director J Batt plans to take a broad overview of Michigan State's sports program when he arrives, but football will be his top priority.

Michigan State University on Monday named J Batt as its new vice president and director of intercollegiate athletics. Batt has served as the vice president and director of athletics at Georgia Tech since 2022.

This era will continue to be dynamic, require additional resources and provide new challenges daily,” Batt said in his introductory remarks.
