President Donald Trump has called on the new CEO of the technology company Intel, Lip-Bu Tan, to resign immediately. "The CEO of INTEL is highly CONFLICTED and must resign, immediately. There is no other solution to this problem. Thank you for your attention to this problem," Trump posted on Truth Social on Thursday.

Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan says he’s “always operated within the highest legal and ethical standards” after coming under pressure following President Donald Trump’s call for him to resign.

Lip-Bu Tan began working as Intel CEO in March. Since then, he scaled back projects and reduced headcount in efforts to rightsize the chip maker.
