The new update aims to make Dynamic Island more visible in Dark mode for iPhone 14 Pro users. Apple made some changes on iPhone 14 Pro's Dynamic Island as part of the new iOS 16.

The pre-installed wallpapers for iOS 16 will be multi-layered to have two modes. A "sleep" status displays each wallpaper in a dark, faded state, presumably to appear while an iPhone is in sleep mode.
