Skipper Ajinkya Rahane conjured a typically gritty hundred and pacer Royston Dias supported his effort with a five-wicket haul as defending champions Mumbai completed a fine escape act, scripting a commanding 152-run over Haryana to enter the Ranji Trophy semifinals in Kolkata on Tuesday.

Mumbai made it to the 2024/25 Ranji Trophy semi-final after a stunning 152-run win over Haryana at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The win was made possible by the brilliant show of skipper Ajinkya Rahane, all-rounder Shardul Thakur, as well as fast bowler Royston Dias. Rahane slammed a century while Thakur and Dias took match-winning five-wickets.

Shardul Thakur picked up a nine-wicket match-haul, while Tanush Kotian and Shams Mulani slammed crucial knocks in the first innings. Ajinkya Rahane also made his bat talk as he hit a hundred as Mumbai defeated Haryana to book a place in the semifinals of the Ranji Trophy.

Indian all-rounder Shardul Thakur has put Mumbai in command against Haryana in the Ranji Trophy quarter-final match at Kolkata's Eden Gardens. His sensational performance saw him take six wickets in the second innings that turned the match in favor of Mumbai.
