After several hours of emotional debate, MPs voted in favour of the bill, which will now be scrutinised by the House of Lords.

More than 300 MPs backed a bill that would allow terminally ill adults with a life expectancy of less than six months to apply for an assisted death.

Bill would allow those with less than 6 months to live right to assisted death, pending approval from 2 doctors and review panel including psychiatrist, social worker, and senior lawyer - Anadolu Ajan
