According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 2.1 magnitude quake struck close to Petrolia Saturday morning. It was reported that a tremor shook the region at 7:43 a.m. The epicenter was situated approximately 15 miles northwest of Petrolia, at a depth of 13 miles. Seismologists first reported it as a 1.8 event, but later upgraded it to 2.1.
