Former Millcreek Township Superintendent Ian Roberts has been arrested by Immigration Customs Enforcement and held at the Pottawattamie County Jail, according to federal and Iowa officials.

U.S. immigration officials on Friday arrested the superintendent of the public schools system in Des Moines, Iowa, acting on what authorities said was a prior deportation order.

A spokesperson for the district said they do not have additional information to share at this time.
