Two Denver police officers and one Denver Public Schools safety officer fatally shot a man fleeing law enforcement Monday night outside of a Westwood school.

DENVER — One person is dead after exchanging gunfire with police Monday night. At about 10:30 p.m. Monday, Denver Police and Denver Public School safety officers responded to the 900 block of South Hazel Court after receiving a call about two adults in front of the nearby school.

One suspect is dead after police said they chased and shot an allegedly armed man outside a middle school in Denver on Monday night.
