Denmark's second-biggest airport, Billund, was briefly shut early on Friday following a report of illegal drone activity that police later identified as "a shining star in the sky," amid heightened concern over drone sightings nationwide.

Drones flew over four Danish airports overnight Wednesday into Thursday, the latest instance of unexplained drone activity that has raised concerns about security in northern Europe amid growing Russian aggression.

Several European Union leaders are participating in talks Friday afternoon to discuss a potential "drone wall" to prevent drone attacks from Russia or others.

Authorities reported multiple drone sightings overnight on Sept. 26 in northern Germany, which they suspect may be linked to espionage, according to German broadcaster NDR.

Denmark has no plans to invoke NATO's Article 4 after drone incursions near civilian and military sites that shut air traffic in the Nordic country earlier this week, Denmark's foreign minister said on Friday.
