An arctic blast that is expected to bring wind chills to double digits below zero has led forecasters to issue a cold weather advisory this week.

First Alert Weather Days continue Tuesday and Wednesday with bitterly cold, sub-zero wind chills expected through at least early Wednesday afternoon before improvement arrives later this week. Snow chances aren’t zero through the next few days, but the cold weather is the primary reason for the First Alert Weather days.

WEDNESDAY: FIRST ALERT. Still cold. Mostly sunny with highs in the single digits and teens. Wind chill values on either side of 0°. NW wind will gust 15-20 mph. More sub-zero lows and wind chill values overnight.

A blast of Arctic air is bringing cold weather to New England over the next several days. Wind chill values in the mornings are going to be 0 to 15 below, with the coldest areas across the hillier terrain of Worcester County and the Berkshires.
