China's Foreign Ministry criticized U.S. strikes against Iran's nuclear facilities as a violation of the United Nations charter and expressed concern over potential spillover effects from the deepening conflict.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel has agreed to US President Donald Trump's ceasefire proposal in a statement on Tuesday morning. In a response, Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said on Tuesday that China is highly concerned about the development of the situation in the Middle East.

China said the U.S. attack on Iran's nuclear facilities had damaged Washington's credibility and warned the situation "may go out of control", its state broadcaster reported, following a U.N. Security Council meeting on Sunday.
