Community organizers say at least 35 people were arrested as federal immigration agents swept through Ventura County farms and packinghouses this week.
One person died in a boating incident at Lake San Antonio on Friday, Monterey County spokesperson Maia Carroll confirmed to The Tribune. The incident involved one boat and resulted in multiple injuries, Carrol said in an email. Emergency responders were onsite as of 2:18 p.m. and an investigation was underway, the email said.
